Howdy all, figured I'd drop a line, let ya know what's going on.

Gaming wise I've kinda been easing back into things, mostly with World of Tanks (go figure, right?) and Star Trek: Online, but generally I've been doing a lot of artwork or writing (and shall continue to do so.  More recently though, I've become a DJ for an online gaming radio station, Blade Radio. And I'd like to drop some lines during my broadcasting (wouldn't mind if anyone would listen in while I'm on the air too ;p )

I'm not sure how it would work for RBL, but perhaps they'll have a TOR stream in the near future once The Old Republic MMO is out.  In any case, I imagine there'll be a few folks from here that'll play that, and by god, RBL should get some mention.  As long as we've been around, totally worth it. 

Anyways, I think RBL would have to be a declared supporter of Blade Radio, so give it a look, see if that's something that RBL should get into or not.  http://www.bladeradio.com/sto/fleet_sup.html

As it is, RBL is still getting a little subtle nod, since I'll be DJing as RBL_M1A2Tanker.    If you think it'd be cool, let me know and I'll check with the higher ups to verify what we'd need to actually do to make it all 'official' if it's going to be different for TOR vs STO.

hmmmm will check into this as I am all for anything that puts over RBL.  am clueless though about what this actually is?  how does one listen to an online gaming radio station?  forgive me for my ignorance lol, by now we all know I'm not the most tech savy guy lol.  am def in favor of shout outs or "dropping lines".  if there is anything I can do to help the cause let me know ☼§☼

To answer your question Ace, you can listen to online radio stations via Winamp or Windows Media Player (I believe iTunes as well) by simply copying the appropriate URL and pasting it into a "Play URL..." option on your program of choice.  I prefer Winamp for it because it is not very resource intense, so it's a good thing. 

As for RBL looking to be 100% Star Wars, I don't think it's an issue really since TOR is coming out soon.  I imagine there'll be a few folks here who shall make the jump from Galaxies to that?  So looking like we're purely Star Wars should be fine.  Again though, I'd have to check with those at Blade Radio to verify.

btw what is your show schedule? I looked on the link you put up there and did not see a Tanker...

The Blade Radio schedule has been behind since July.  Right now I'm just a filler DJ, so it's whenever I'm available and it doesn't trod on someone elses time slot.  I figure the next available time will be this coming Sunday evening.
