Imptac Starfigher Upgrade

I mentioned this in one of the posts below.  If you have this it's pretty kewl to have.  Gives you more choices for fighters to fly online.  Can't use them in regular missions during single player, but there are some missions that can be downloaded from the websight containing the ship set.  Here's the lowdown on the fighters for those of you that don't have this.

Rebel Fighters:

E-Wing:  Has three laser cannons and can carry missles.  Very fast, and very manueverable.  Can keep pace with a TI in a dogfight.  The shields on this baby are as strong as a B-wings.  This little guy can take a pounding and cause alot of damage.  Great dogfighter

B-Wing:  You no longer need bop to fly a b-wing.  Three lasers, three ion cannons, and warhead launcers.  Slow, sluggish, has great shields.  Best used for bombing runs.  

Imperial Ships

Tie Oppressor:  Looks like a flattened out TI with the top foils removed.  Very fast, very manueverable.  Quad lasers, and two ion cannons.  Also has medium strength shielding.  Good dogfighter.

Tie Defender:  Fast, Manuervable.  Quad lasers, ion cannons, warhead launchers.  Great for bombing and dogfighting.  Also can carry beam weapons.  Shields are very strong.

Pirate craft

R-41 Starchaser:  Slow, sluggish.  Bit more nimble than a y-wing.  Two lasers, and two ion cannons.  Warhead launchers as well.  Can serve as a fighter or a bomber.  Shields are medium strength.

T-Wing:  Fast, Nimble.  Two lasers.  Weak shields comparable to the z-95.  Great interceptor.  

Star Viper:  Funny looking, medium speed.  Quad lasers and warhead launchers.  Bomber and dogfighter.  These are hard to see because they made them very dark in color.  Look like the fighters from the movie "the last starfighter"

There are also some new cap ships, but I haven't messed with them yet.  This is a good dl if you wish to beef up xvt.

go to the dl section.  Make sure you get the 4.5 dl for xvt only.  no need to do the bop one.  there are missions that can be dl'ed too, but I don't know if they are tfa sqewed or not.  This is a tfa guy that made this sight.

just a quick note on the missions, I dl'ed them and they are slanted towards the empire and tfa.  but at least you can see the new fighters in action
