BSC 100 day roster rule changed
06.09.2011 18:44 | 429 | Holmes
Greetings,

The 100 day drop rule was mainly in place to cut down on false game reporting and to keep the user select dropdowns for event match submission cleaner/up to date....

I suggest that we support Star Wars BattleFront when it comes out to give us an open platform for new recruits.  The link to this game can be found on the Lucasarts webpage.  It'll be ground squad combat, 16 players per game ect.  Will require a newer system to play though.

Here are some games that I have that I think are fun to play online:

Mech Warrior 4 Vengeance/Black Knight:  A link to these games can be found at http://www.microsoft.com under the games heading.  These mechs are the closest thing a non star wars title has to actually being compared to star wars.  The mechs are like the Walkers and other Vehicles used in the Star Wars saga.  Will run on 5 year old systems.  Don't know exact specs

Mech Warrior 4 Mercenaries:  Can also be found at the microsoft websight.  Another in the mech series but focused more on online campaigns and battles.  Don't know exact specs but must be newer system to run.

***Now with the games we do support:  XVT/XWA, GBG, Jedi Knight/Outcast:  I'd personally like to see more internal wars to encourage our people to be more visible on the zone.  I know we have issues with the battlegrounds wow and that is about dead, but we could still have fun playing against each other.  Same for Jedi knight.  We have a jedi division but I never hear of them entering a wow.  Just my thoughts***

do they have to be star wars? if not i can recommend a few good ones

Halo- *game price varies, higher end system required*
America's Army: Operations *absolutley free, just download the game and good to go*

let me know if anyone wants the link to download americas army and ill give it to you

also, to join any leagues for either of those games, you are supposed to have a dedicated server, you can rent one from americas army, but you would have to support one of your own, or get someone else to support Halo for you

Halo is over rated =P

I still play SWG but UGH am looking to get out of it unless something changes soon.
A few games I have been looking at...

City Of Heros- www.coh.com

World of Warcraft- www.blizzard.com/wow

and I have near every MMO to date, I can't really play FPSes on a wireless too much lag but I also own the entire JK series.

guys I hate to be the party pooper here, but we really should discuss joining some new games as well for recruitment and newer members.  Sure getting some older games that the current members have will keep us around for a while, but with no new people coming in we will eventually die.  I've seen it happen three times already to clans I've been part of.  RBL is the best one that I have pledged allegiance to, and I'd like to see it live on for a long time.

Excuse me if I am out of line here but Ace.......Chill dude! we are members and a clan already, to add more members now with out a structure would only complicate things. Once and if a game or games are decided on, then folks will be met talked with and invited.......!
Now I know I am just an old floop here and have not been all that active on the comlinks, which if anyone noticed is the only place RBL has been consistent, minus the few that have still played XvT, and I am in that group regretably as it may be.
I need to say this before I go any further, while it is nice to see new names on the coms, and new members, I dont believe most or some have had the pleasure of being a group in the zone then coming to the comlinks and sharing THAT experience in story.
I am sorry to say this but, rblsquad.com has become nothing more than a message board at this point for the few that care to carry it on. I feel that holmes had a point to calling this meeting, and that was to return it to what it once was, a gaming community in which we all share our inside gaming experiences here.
I am not saying this as an Admiral or ranked or nothing of the like, simply a person with an opinion........
With that said (if anyone is still reading)
I think Simon tip toed on an issue all need to think of first and formost!!! System Requirements!!! Face it folks if ya gonna game ya gotta have  puter simple as that! PIII (I hate intel) Athlon or better 700 128 MB ram and 32MB video 3D. I aint tryin to bash no one just the facts mam, if ya gonna game ya gotta keep up or miss out, simple as that.
Now I done some lookin, (Just in case anyone still readin) and I know that some others play and I have been interested in myself Mech Warrior. Well lo and behold there were over 250 players in the zone on the MW4 Mercenaries room. I DL the trial and am gonna check it out. Its 120 MB for the trial but has online play so........
Sys reqs are about what I mentioned and the game can behad for about 20 US dollars or less. I think Scarecrow actually has it on his FTP for download, not sure if its the same or not but I will find out.
Now in the mean time Snoopy and I are in a clan For Crimson Skies, ya its an old game but I tell ya what if ya aint played it dont bitch to me cuz it duz rock! Also www.czleagues.com supports MW4 for wars and such along with crimson skies and americas army.
As for what games I have, well if it drives or flies I am liable to have it, all the CFS1-3 nascar3-03 msfs up to 2002, need for speed all of em, rally sport challenge, yada yada yada............
for RBL tho I am leaning toward MW4 Mercenaries!
The trial and info can be found here http://www.microsoft.com/games/mw4mercs/default.asp

Well all sorry if I am a little brash but as some know, (just ask Tank) I am what I am thats why I carry the name Azis (asis) ya get what ya get with me I dont pull no punches  Grin
So hope to see ya all soon, play some chit have some fun and always

When it comes to posessing games I can fill pages with a list.

But I am only playing two of them on a regular schedule.
Where is the point in naming games we have lost the interest in?

I would prefer to see people name the games they really like and are active in and additionally upcoming promising games.

That would leave room for a short description, and give the other members the opportunity to check these games out.

Getting your hands on games isn't that hard either, most have demos available and if we have decided to add a game or two to ReBeL, it shouldn't be too much to buy them.

just my 0.02 $

PS: If i got the whole thing wrong and this thread should just be about posting what games I have floating around in my appartment, I suggest we start a new thread with just the lists, another one or this for discussion, maybe.

Again we have confusion. If you dont play it dont post it.
What we are trying to to do, is see what everyone else is playing as of current, and possibly include those games into RBL. e.g. what games do you own that you still play... not list every game in your cd tower even though you havent played it in 4 years. Please only list multiplayer titles that can be played over the internet.

New/upcoming games would be different discussion entirely. I dont have the budget right now to buy games, and most on here still have an old system that cannot support the new titles. This is why we decided, for now, to make up a list of games that everyone already has, and is still active in, and go from there.

So lets stay focused on that right now, and later we can move on to the newer/upcoming titles and recruiting et al. K?
