Jedi Master Reprah silently walks down the halls of the now quiet RBL HQ. He has been in a deep meditation for quite some time but he doesn't know how much time has passed. Reprah finally gets to his destination. His old quarters.
The name plate is covered in dust but as far as Reprah knows, he can't do anything about it. He stares in wonder at all the memories he's had in RBL. He also remembers some comments that were made when they shouldn't have been. Is he so deserving of a rank as high as Jedi Master? Only he can answer himself on that point.
As he goes to walk through the still closed door as he has numerous times before he feels something..... new...... and familiar at the same time. He takes a step forward and *SLAM*, he runs into his own door. Frozen in shock he can't believe what's just happened.
His hands are shaking as they reach for the touch pad that will allow him entrance into his old domecile. He carefully touches his old combination..... 1,2,3,4,5. He can remember it easily since it's the one on his luggage. Each number gives a different tone but definately a physical one. As he hits the last one his door slides open as if it was recently oiled. As he steps through the door, he can smell the dust that has collected on the sheets covering his furnature. Everything looks to be just how he left it.
*** Meanwhile ***
Tanker is sitting at his console making his last security rounds before calling it a night. He sees a flashing light appear on his console but it's late and he thinks he's seeing things. He rubs at his eyes and looks again through still sleep filled eyes. There's no mistaking though, somebody has accessed Reprah's old room.
Tank gets up and as he's walking to the room, he's becoming slightly irritated at this intrusion on what started as a peaceful night watch. Thinking this is a prank and ready to unleash at the first pilot he sees near that room, he stomps towards his destination.
Once he's arrived, he inspects the door but there doesn't seem to be any indication of a forced entry. Tanker quickly types in the code and thinks to himself,
"I can't believe Reprah used this combination. It's the kind some idiot would use on his luggage."
The light floods out of the room as the door opens. Tanker is quite shocked at what he sees in that he is frozen in his tracks. Sitting behind a desk with his back facing him is the one person he didn't think he would see again. He mutters quietly,
"Rrreeeprah? No way....."
The chair slowly turns around and......

I thought it would be an interesting info story so I couldn't help myself. It looks like I've finally cleared up my connection problem after working on it for more than a year. I have a working XvT computer again and am itching to fly again. I know I'm listed as retired but I was thinking I might come back out of retirement and fly again if you will have me. I think I would like to be in Wolf Squadron if at all possible since that's the squad I first helped create after I joined. Hopefully VC will approve my transfer.
I hope to see you all in the zone again.
